Scheduling Updates

I would say Happy New Year, but it is about 2 weeks too late for that! I am coming out of hibernation to just update everyone on recent happenings and to thank everyone for an excellent fall and holiday season. I stayed very busy again this year and I have kind of let this blog fall to the wayside and tend to post much more on my facebook page, to which there should be a link at the bottom or side of this page.

Our family had a nice holiday, though it was trying at times because at one point or another, we have all been sick with sinus problems or stomach issues. It has been a rough month at the Rogers' house. I didn't take any sessions during December and instead I concentrated on behind the scenes things and really evaluating where I am going as a photographer, wife, mother, and teacher.

Some of you may not know that I am actually a high school teacher and I have a full time teaching job. This photography thing started out as a hobby because I love it so much and wanted to capture my daughter and all of her milestones in a creative, beautiful way. Since I started taking on clients in May of 2008, I have stayed pretty busy, sometimes bordering on frantic as I tried to get everything together.

You see, the session is just the first part of the story and then the rest happens behind the computer and can be very time-consuming. Not that I am complaining, because I love it, but sometimes I tend to bite off more than I can chew! Right now I am teaching full time, I have a 4 year old and a 13 month at home, I am going back to school to get my Masters, and I have a husband who complains about my time on the computer! :)

So that leads me back to where I said that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in December to step back and refocus. For this year, I plan to step back a little and focus more on my family and my children. I need to finish school and get back to a more manageable level with the things that have taken me away from my family. I love photographing your families and spending time documenting those precious memories, but I have fallen behing on my own. My poor little Harrison still hasn't had a 1 year session yet and he is almost 14 months!

I am NOT quitting, I just won't be taking on as many sessions this year as I have in the past. I am currently booking sessions, so please let me know if you would like to schedule something. As always, I WILL WORK little babies into the schedule because they come on their own terms! :) I want to thank you for all of your support and the blessings you have brought into my life. I have loved every minute of it and hope you will continue to allow me to! As always, if you are interested in a session please e-mail me at tiffanyrogersphotography{at} or you can text or phone me at 731-377-9643.

There will be an exciting business related announcement coming in the next few days, so check back! ;)

Avery - Dyersburg, TN Children's Photographer

Last weekend I had the pleasure of finally meeting up with Miss Avery. We had tried to have a session last fall, but obviously Harrison wasn't having that since I got put on bed rest!

I was thrilled when Avery's mom booked a Christmas Card session with me. Let me tell you, this kid is gorgeous! She took a little while to warm up to me, but in no time at all we were chatting like pals and she is just as cute as a button. Plus, she liked my jokes, which is a definite plus!

We had a great session and I am afraid to say that mom will have more to chose from then the guaranteed number of proofs. I just couldn't stop snapping! :)

Enjoy your sneak peek, Mom! Thanks so much!

Christmas Card Offerings

These are a few of the new options for Christmas cards for the 2010 holiday season. I have a few more options to post, but wanted to share these so you all could start thinking about cards.

I am also excited to share that you no longer have to order a traditional 5x7 rectangular card, but there are some new options for shapes as well. I will be sharing those very soon!

These cards can also be purchased if you have had a session this year.

Sweet Baby "B" - Union City, TN Baby Photographer

One of the most amazing things that I get to do is spend time with families as they grow and change. As far as families go, this one is one of the most welcoming and kind-hearted that I have had the pleasure of photographing.

Mom contacted me last year about a shoot for her 6 month old son, but with my maternity leave approaching, things never worked out. After I got back into the groove again, I was delighted to hear from her and to take her son's 1 year pictures with a little surprise for dad for Father's Day. I was so happy when she invited me back in to take pictures of their newest blessing, Baby B.

They are one of the only families I know that did not find out ahead of time what they were having. I was so delighted when they had a sweet baby girl.

Thank you, H family, for inviting me into your home to capture some of those first few memories. She is breathtaking and I know you guys are over the moon about her! Enjoy your sneak peek!
